Ciao ben tornati!
Today I want to share with you how I’ve grown to love Bliss Balls. This is my snacking nightmare gone right. Bliss Balls or Energy Balls as some call them are a healthy, nutritious alternative to any craving you have!
Do you remember when you were younger and you’d be bored, or hungry, or just craving something sweet and say to your parents ‘I’m hungry!’. Well, in my family the responses usually went a little something like: ‘but we are having dinner soon’, ‘drink some water’, ‘go outside and play’ or my ultimate favorite/most infuriating response ‘have celery and carrots, it’s something crunchy’. My idea of a crunchy snack was caramelized popcorn (crunchy too!), so that response usually got an eye roll.
So despite what my parents used to say, the snacks I had (when not at home) were far from healthy. Now that I’m an adult and work long hours, it seems the cravings for something sweet (especially during difficult days at the office) have grown a thousand fold! It is not always easy to look at a peach and pretend it’s a chocolate bar, sometimes you just need something sweet. This is why Bliss Balls are my absolute favorite snack – tiny balls of superfoods and wholesome ingredients rolled into a bliss bite.
I’ll be sharing a few more bliss balls recipes I’ve created and each is just as satisfying as the next! I will usually make a large batch of bliss balls to keep me going the whole week. They keep really well, so no worries about eating all of them at once!
Really hope you enjoy these as much as I do, and if you do make them, make sure to tag me in your snaps on Instagram or Twitter with #luluinn.
