The Bite has quickly become my favorite Zürich spot for a burger. It’s off my beaten track – in Langstrasse area – but I make the trek because it’s worth it.
I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while. The Bite has a great atmosphere, it’s warm and cosy, cool and edgy all at once. They always have very interesting art on the walls. The tables are made of old doors and I’m pretty sure none of the chairs match. The bar has a string of lightbulbs as decoration and the cocktail names use swear words. What’s not to love about this place?
The Bite is a great dinner place with friends. And if you don’t have a reservation no problem, they accept Walkens, so if they have space they’ll sit you. We started coming a few years ago and it’s our go-to burger stop.
Menu
As you can expect this place is all about burgers, burgers and yes, more burgers. My all-time favorite burger is The Manchego. And because I can never decide if I should go for fries or be healthy and go for salad, I usually get both. All there burgers are great, and don’t miss their seasonal daily burgers!
Another thing I love about The Bite is the drinks menu. They really curate an amazing cocktail list, but what’s more interesting for me is there selection of gins. Tried a new one last time we were here called Koval, and for any gin lovers out there, I recommend you try it.
Price
$$$ The Bite isn’t the cheapest place in Zürich, but given neighbour prices I’d say it’s pretty in line with what I expect to pay in other burger joints, except I find these burgers a lot nicer. Burger: from 24CHF up (excluding sides).
